This regular summer event took place on 19th July. After the 10.30 am Sunday Mass in Melbourne, parishioners from both churches brought their own food and we ate together on the lawn of our beautiful garden. It was good to see parishioners of all ages enjoying one another’s company on a lovely warm sunny day.
Since May we have been collecting for the Food Bank run from the Castle Donington Children’s Centre. The food collection will run this throughout the year and parishioners can donate non-perishable food items in a basket left in the church porch.
